Stopped at the Boathouse last night while golfing in Myrtle Beach. It is a large place with indoor, porch and lawn seating along the intracoastal waterway. It was pretty quiet at 6:30 on a Thursday evening. The draft beer selection was very weak. Four taps from national breweries. This is unacceptable given the craft brew scene in North and South Carolina. No one appeared to be eating so, I was a bit concerned but took a chance. I'm happy I did. The food was excellent. I tried the Honey Habenero wings. They were great. The honey did a nice job off setting the spice of the habenero. They weren't mouth burning hot but kind of lingered. The wings were nice sized and grilled crispy. They are some of the best I've had in a while. I also had the avocado and chicken egg rolls with Thai dipping sauce. Deli sliced chicken and avocados in egg roll wrappers. Very nice. Apps were half price during happy hour. Wings, egg rolls and three Fat Tires set me back $17. That's pretty hard to beat for way more food than I could eat. I'm really bouncing back and forth between 3 and 4 stars. I guess I'll stick with three. In spite of great wings, the beer selection really drags it down.

The venue is really nice. Really good bands props to Incredibly Tall People. Waitresses at the bar are terrible!! There weren't too many people there the night we went but constantly had trouble getting their attention. When you did they acted bothered. Go for bands and hope the waitresses stop to sell you a drink and don't expect any smiles!

This place would be a 5-star pub if the inside was non-smoking. We loves the food. Great pricing and a very nice happy hour. We will definitely return to this place. The spicy shrimp appetizer was great. The fish and chips entree was perfect. Everyone had a great time. It's also right next to the inter-coastal. Great place!

Boathouse reuben (fish), sunday/game day, 1.50 taco, .50 wings, too many dallas fans (go skins) and someone wearing a mike vick jersey :(' cig smoke factors.

This is the ultimate weekend relaxed bar to go to. There is volleyball, live music, friends, food, beer (cheap and craft), and a whole bunch of friendly people. The food here is bar food for the most part. Not amazing but not bad in any manner. It was worth the 10$ for a cheesesteak and fries. The beer list ranged from natty ice cans to Southern Tier Pumpking on tap. So it really had the best of both worlds.. There are a couple of bars so youre not really waiting for drinks and you also have a huge area outside to just hang out and relax. There were a bunch of boats pulled up to the back of the bar pretty much the whole day. This place is good for bigger groups as well.

We came in for lunch during a work conference, there were about 50 of us that came in all at once...they weren't prepared for our loud crowd, but despite not expecting us the waitresses did a phenomenal job. I was truly impressed at how quickly they were able to get drinks out to our tables, take our orders, and bring out the food. I felt bad for the waitresses because they were working so incredibly hard, but they did it all in stride. I ordered a salad, and my husband a chicken finger basket and neither of us was disappointed. In fact, we came back the next day for lunch as well, and ordered different items, and they were equally good. The manager came over to apologize for not being prepared the day before, and we let her know how great, we felt, they handled it all. Great place, would definitely go back.

Check your charges on your check! These people are crooks! They charged someones meal to my card who arrived 1.5 hrs BEFORE i showed up! Then, Patricia said someone had to have used my husbands card, while husband is at work, ate, left and then we came back. Really! Her tone was condescending and ridiculous! When i suggested maybe an employee might be stealing, I was told its not their fault! I Will never go back! I will let the bank handle it! CHARGE DISPUTED! Asshats!

Haven't been in a while but, this place was always a blast when I lived nearby. I've stopped back in throughout my travels and it's really become the place to go for Sunday Funday. They have a huge yard outback aside from the spacious inside. You can arrive via the inter-coastal and if you're in need of transportation, you can rent jet skis out back. I've had an appetizer or a burger here. Nothing special but, you don't really come for the food... it's all about the atmosphere. On a more tame day/night, it can be quite a relaxing place to hang out. The big party's and Sundays in the summer though... it's an absolute shit show - in a good way.

Not a bad place to go. The atmosphere is that of a sports bar with many large screens to watch. The food was decent but I only had the steamed shrimp appetizer and a salad so it wasn't much to go on for a review of the food. If you want a laid back, casual spot for a beer and to catch the game, this is a good choice.

Had the grilled chicken sandwich, is was....ok. Not plump n juicy. The steamed shrimp was good but shrimp could've been a lil bigger IMHO. Waiter didn't introduce himself but was good either way. Nice sitting in patio on intercostal waterway.

Great local and live music scene, come by boat or car. The bar outside is where it's at, a beautiful view and a sand volleyball court.

Great bar, Great Location, Great Atmosphere....just TERRIBLE FOOD! So we stumpled on this place memorial day weekend. I had the fried seafood platter (shrimp, oysters and grouper?) and my girlfriend had shrimp and grits. The fried seafood was surprisingly good, so we decided to head back last week, this time with more friends in tow. Well, the place was nearly empty for lunch on a Sunday and they were out of grits. Not sure how that happens. Next, I ordered the fried seafood platter that I had been raving about for weeks to my friends. I was surprised that I got the garbage that I did. There was a tiny piece of fish and the oysters were fried in this horrendous thick nasty batter. They came out brown and super breaded. It was pretty strange. One person who was with us ordered an oyster basket. They were equally alarmed and displeased. I felt sorry for them, so I gave them my potato salad, since they obviosly couldn't eat what they were served. We didn't even bother to send anything back either, rather just wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. Thank you random beligerent Newport chain-smoking cool guy for sitting right behind us while 20 other tables were open outside. Your wild exploits from the night before, along with your f-bomb then puff, f-bomb then puff while SCREAMING on your cell phone really helped top off our experience at this establishment. You're such a "Shot Calla" and are a force to be reckoned with.

I finally gave in and tried a new bar. Great Place! So relaxing. Not fancy so you can just chill there without getting all cute. Large, open bar with table tennis, pool tables and good food. Large menu too. The best part about this place is the outside. It's on the Intracoastal Waterway so not only does it have a beautiful view but if you don't have a boat you can rent jet skis. There's hammocks outside and a tiki bar as well. On Sunday's during the summer there are concerts. There are also dinner and movie nights. It's just a relaxing and fun atmosphere. Definitely a must see.

We were so very pleased with the folks at Beach House Boat rentals. They were very helpful getting us acquainted to the boat and area we would be cruising in. The boat had all the options we needed and everything was working 100%. The boat was clean and ready to go when we got to the dock. Will rent from these folks again and recommend them to all. Great job thanks. David from Connecticut

Wasn't really impressed by this place. Service was very rude. The food was barely decent. We had a coupon for a free app from yelp and they wouldn't accept it "anymore". The inside was dingy and dive barish. The outside however was really cool and probably what makes this place stay in business. Probably would only come here for nightlife and the view in the future.

Where can one start with this review? Lets start off with the food and staff. My wife and I have tried their sandwiches with much success. My wife really likes their cuban sandwich and has one almost every time we go there. If you have never had Fried Pickles than Boathouse is the right place to try em. THEY ARE AWESOME. Their food has always been fresh, flavorful, and service fast. Now to get to the fun part called Sunday Funday's, starting in April every Sunday Boathouse gets packed and I mean packed with people that come for the food and a FREE did I say "FREE" concert series. The concerts have ranged from Yin Yang Twins, Skid Row, Coolio, Bubba Sparxxx, the list goes on. Its not uncommon to see other celebrities enjoying a beautiful Sunday at Boathouse. If you are in the Myrtle Beach area from April to Sept YOU HAVE TO give Boathouse a Sunday try. WOW

Went there for lunch. Food is alright but it is definitely more bar than restaurant. I went on Tuesday and it was a BOGO lunch deal. Pleasant surprise. They place has a stage and plenty of indoor room to dance. It was very empty at lunch but I am sure it will pack up at night. I would go again but for the nightlife not the lunch.
